After the war, the need to raise the birth rate was revealed, and therefore, she, a woman, had to become a seducer of soldiers returning from the war. This was the case in Europe and America. But not in the USSR. There was no woman here, but a comrade - something asexual. Well, sexuality and the desire to look attractive were called bourgeois and philistine. The woman was supposed to be in the team. Therefore, the image of a housewife was associated with uselessness, and therefore, such a woman was not respected. It was from this period that a negative image of a housewife began to take root in the minds of ordinary people - in a stained chintz robe, worn-out slippers, with curlers on her head and with a frying pan in her hand. As a rule, the additional components of this image were screaming snotty children, constant chatting on the phone, eternal domestic problems and only mercantile interests.

It may seem that the Soviet housewife is the opposite of the European one. Outwardly it is. And inside, everyone has the same values. But the European woman looked happy and contented life, and the Soviet woman looked dull, tortured and boring. Social values prevail here over personal ones.

In the 70s, a wave of feminism and emancipation took place. The woman had to be included in social life on an equal basis with the man. But an unearthly creature in lace and floral frills is unrealistic to compete with a man in career and political achievements. Yes, and, of course, this stereotype gets in the way of raising children. Family is not only the status of a husband, wife and number of children. These are the internal connections between them, which the mistress of the house is able to establish: she knows what needs to be done so that, having come home, the husband and children really feel at home like behind a stone wall.

I propose to consider the stereotype of a housewife from two sides - negative (it remains the same - the housewife) and positive - the mistress of the house.

The mistress of the house does not fuss. She is the manager of her household affairs, but they will never be the only area of her interests and activity. After all, household chores can be approached as a duty, or you can easily and with heart. With a soul - this means that a woman scrubs the floors and sculpts cutlets, not because she is obliged to do this, but because it will bring joy to the children, and the spouse, and herself. She wants her husband and children to feel not just at home, but in a harmonious space.

The housewife reminds us not of the mistress, but of the servant. She seems to be imprisoned in a castle and forced to serve. And life goes by. Therefore, there seems to be no life inside the house

The housewife-servant has no choice but to look for her in TV shows, idle chatter on the phone, magazines about stars. That is why the energy in such a house is frozen. On weekends, families often go to large shopping centers, but looking at them from the sidelines, you notice: the whole family seems to be assembled, but everyone has aloof views.
