"Why do men like bitches?" - every now and then beautiful, successful, calm, but lonely women ask themselves in different parts of the world. Perhaps it is, as always, in sex, according to German scientists.

A new study by Julia Felten and her colleagues at the Center for Mental Health Research and Treatment at the Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany, has led them to conclude that men are more turned on by emotionally unstable women. It is with them that they feel their maximum functionality in sex and achieve the greatest satisfaction.

Scientists surveyed more than 1,000 people, whose average age aspired to 54 years, about their sex life, personality traits and sexual compatibility. All stages of arousal from initial attraction to orgasm were investigated in detail. In particular, it was necessary to assess their own success in sex depending on the behavior, personality and mood of the partner.

It found that "men whose partners show emotional instability get more pleasure from sex." Meanwhile, women are most satisfied with sex with an “inaccessible partner who pays attention to details”. Or even so - with "meticulous and thorough."

A study published in the Journal of Sex Research hypothesized that men preferred emotionally aroused partners because of their mild excitability. In what the stronger sex saw the similarity and similarity of interests.

“Men themselves are easily aroused by erotic fantasies or visual stimuli,” explains Julia, “and having a partner who reacts in the same way can facilitate sexual interaction.”

However, other expert sexologists are rather skeptical about new research on the effect of personality traits on sexual performance. After all, attraction and performance have always been influenced and will be influenced by other factors: for example, the same age.

“The results are just a set of statistics in one single experiment. We do not see the dynamics and relationships between the measured variables. We do not know if they are really causal. So more research is needed, says Dr. Christian Jarrett, who was not involved in the study, but expressed his opinion on the portal of the British Psychological Society. "However, this study opens up new horizons, posing a new topic: how exactly our partner's personality can influence our own perception of their sexual performance."
