April 1 - I don't believe anyone! I don’t believe anyone, I don’t want to know anything, I will live in my own problems myself. And gradually a person fades away, his vital energy dries up, he loses interest in life. The problem of disbelief in psychology has been known for a long time. No specialist knows exactly how to solve it. And so the idea arose - to correct this problem with laughter and jokes, to give the body a release from internal stress. And so that it does not look like a treatment, humanity has determined a calendar day on which you can joke without fear of offending others. And this happens on April 1.
“Until you learn to swim, we will not pour water into the pool” - what is it? This is just a joke. Words behind which the desire of the interlocutor is hidden to defuse the heavy oppressive atmosphere of the worries and worries around you. They say: "All diseases are from the nerves," which means that the main thing for a healthy person is that the nerves are in order. Or they actively "worked" - they forced the person to get ready before the responsible work and relaxed him after the work already done.
Release the shackles of tension
It has long been noticed that laughter and jokes help to recover. We have not yet come up with the best drugs that have no side effects. Research by psychologists has shown that people before and after a humorous concert, laughing enough, are completely different people. Such people are more relaxed, they get to know each other more easily, communicate more freely, exchange knowledge, and are more attentive to others. Humor removes the shackles of tension, thereby allowing a person to look around him, and not be constantly inside himself, in his problems.
It is worth remembering that many problems arise from internal stress that gradually accumulates throughout life. Laughter, on the other hand, helps to get rid of stiffness and negativity. It is contagious, try it - how many minutes can you keep from smiling while watching a smiling person? I’m sure no more than three to five minutes.
Science clowns
In psychology, there are even such areas of work - laughter therapy and humor therapy. These methods were invented in the sixties - seventies of the last century. Currently, there are three areas of gelotology (laughter therapy):
- Classical laughter therapy is a psychologist conducting individual or group sessions in which people laugh (tell jokes, funny stories, listen to laughter, watch comedies).
- Medical clowning - representations of medical workers in front of hospital patients, the so-called "ambulance clowns".
- The yoga of laughter, developed by Indian doctors, teaches a person to laugh easily and naturally, naturally and often.
Gelotology - the science of laughter - claims that laughter has a positive effect on human physiology. This is our body's defense response to stress. Mental, physical and even professional health depends on how often we smile and joke.
Humorotherapy is also called "provocative therapy". It is a method that expands on traditional concepts of humanistic psychotherapy and uses provocation as a way to activate the client's resources. Moreover, laughter therapy and humorotherapy can be taught to any person, and then everyone can use this method as self-help in difficult and negative situations.
Even the mind is brighter from a smile
Through laughter therapy, a humorous attitude to events, frequent mimic movements called a smile, we get relaxation, endorphins (which are not in vain called the "hormone of happiness"), increase our vitality, open up to joyful emotions and get rid of aggression. Agree, laughing happily, it's hard to wish someone harm. At the same time, we strain our minds, increase creativity, invent good-natured jokes, which develops creative activity. It's not for nothing that psychologists say that the most difficult thing is to make a person laugh.
Mirror emotions heal
American neurologist Ulyam Fry considers laughter as a special way of breathing, in which inhalation is prolonged, and exhalation, on the contrary, is shortened, but its intensity is such that the lungs are able to completely free themselves of air. He and his colleagues have tested and found empirically that laughter clears the upper respiratory tract and improves oxygen circulation in the blood, stimulates the immune and nervous system, soothes pain, relieves stress and normalizes bowel function.
In addition, laughter normalizes the mental state of a person. If you know how to laugh at your failures and mistakes in time, then negative emotions become "mirrored", change to positive ones.
Now, unfortunately, we officially only have April 1 as a day when you can grimace, have fun and joke from the heart. But who knows, maybe, guided by the instructions of wise psychologists, we will come to the fact that we will find reasons for fun much more often.
