Singing. Most people would like to be able to sing, and those who can do it better, more freely. Why? Because singing is self-expression, an outburst of emotions. Singing in public for many is like getting naked - a taboo and a terrible danger. Especially if you were once authoritatively told that you cannot sing

The voice is what we are born with. A helpless newborn, unable even to focus his gaze, wails masterly, extracting incredible decibels from a tiny body. The perfect signaling mechanism turns on immediately, on the first exhalation. Where then do adults come from, who dare not give a voice?

In the process of socialization, growing up, we become overgrown with many body clamps. Shouts, excessive control lead to the "stranglehold effect" - an unconscious restraint of oneself at any attempt to manifest itself, including through the voice. While singing, we try to control the sound with the muscles of the neck, which leads to a pinched sound and fatigue of these very muscles. After such singing, the throat hurts, and the performer does not receive any pleasure. Voice problems indicate clamps in the body that need to be cleared. How to do it professionally and with pleasure?

The training "Spontaneous Singing", based on the Voicing method, has been held in Russia for a very short time, and the prospects of this direction in psychotherapy are obvious. Singing is a way of saying yes to your feelings. The method is simple, natural and very powerful. The purpose of this training is to reveal a person's vocal capabilities through work with blocks in the body. And this is the correct approach: the voice as nothing reflects the inner state of a person. For me, as a therapist, the downside of the process is even more valuable, since “chanting” various aspects of human existence - anger, pleasure, love, pain, fear - removes blocks. With the help of simple techniques, situations are simulated that help the participants to connect with this or that state and come out to sing this state. In this case, it is already automatic to sound confidently.

Under the shower

When we sing from the heart, spontaneously, without thinking about the opinions of others, we harmonize both body and voice. Several "rehearsals" in the shower or in the kitchen, while cooking dinner - and now the skill of singing your feelings and states in the "here and now" mode appears.

Spontaneity gives another advantage: when we start singing, we try to do it beautifully. Including control of the voice by the muscles of the neck. It doesn't work beautifully, sincerely - and even more so. Therefore, starting to sing spontaneously, we deliberately do not strive for beautiful vocals. This relieves tension from the throat, and the focus shifts to the body, natural sound and natural feelings appear.

With the right technique, spontaneous singing can have great transformative power: relieve fears, suppressed emotions, blockages, chronic illnesses, and even relieve acute pain.

EXERCISE "SINGING PAIN"

We often suppress the emotion of pain. And this is one of the important points of the training - the ability to release pain through singing.

You will need: very sad music to effectively enter the state.

Instruction. We often experience losses, sometimes irrecoverable. We cannot agree with some of them, and the memories of losses live in us, do not give us the opportunity to gain new experience, enjoy life. We can only overcome what we have experienced. And we have to endure the pain of loss, connect with it and express it through singing.

At the first stage, a sad song will help you, touching the soul, preferably in a foreign language, so that the words do not distract. Better to let it be several tracks in a row.

Embracing ourselves by the shoulders, we begin to repeat without stopping the phrases: "Please do not leave me!", "Please do not leave me!", "Please, do not leave!" - in any order to the sound of the song.

In the process of speaking, the emotion of pain rises - we have connected with this feeling, let it completely capture us. If tears appear, it is important to let them come out. At the end of the tracks, we begin to sing. Everyone has their own melody - this is the song of your pain. You don't need to analyze it, look for reasons … We just sing about what we feel at the moment.

It turns out very beautifully, because it is sincere, for real. And the voice often gains new depth. The result is a sense of liberation.
