Psychologists, opponents of surrogacy, cite the theory of intrauterine development as arguments. For example, Stanislav Grof's theory of perinatal matrices, where gestation takes place under the sign of rejection of a surrogate mother who cannot afford to love a child, because she knows that she will have to give the baby to her parents.
However, it is worth remembering that there is a different theory for every theory. For example, Eric Berne argues that the first years of a child's life, as well as the motives for conception, are of paramount importance. How conception, gestation and birth occurs - does not matter. The main thing is that the child is loved and accepted by his parents, so that they pass him the "winner" scenario. And this is quite capable for parents who have received a baby through surrogacy. Theories related to the perinatal period and birth should not be overly emphasized. Almost all of them are fatalistic, designed to correct a period that a person does not remember, and sometimes trainings that “rewrite” intrauterine development and birth are just like a hoax.
Thanks to surrogacy, many babies have already been born and are being born. Their parents are happy and can pass on their life experience and all the power of parental love to them. Of course, in each case, the decision is for the couple: whether to use surrogacy, or, for example, to adopt a child. And no one has the right to prohibit or condemn, especially those who have the opportunity to return home to their own children, born without any special problems.
